Girls Soccer First Team F KIM SHOUP Soph. Conestoga -- The speedy junior was the target player up top for the Pioneers and she didn’t disappoint. She recorded 13 goals and 10 assists for the state champions. F AMANDA MARINO Sr. Downingtown West -- The co-MVP of the Ches-Mont, Marino reached double-digit figures in goals (10) and assists (11). She was also a first-team All-Southeastern PA. selection. She will be heading to West Chester University next fall. F JESSICA PISASALE Jr. Great Valley -- The prolific scoring junior tallied 17 goals and nine assists, giving her 41 in her three-year career at Great Valley. Pisasale’s skills on the ball and her speed makes her a tough mark for any defense. F AMANDA SOTO Sr. Unionville -- One half of one of the best scoring tandems in the area along with Heather Wentz. She cracked the double-digit mark in scoring and was named to the All-Southeastern Pa. team. M RACHEL SHEEHY Jr. Downingtown East -- The junior was the creative drive for the Cougars. She also helped out on the forward line for Downingtown East. A first-team All-Ches-Mont selection, Sheehy cracked the double-digit mark in goals. M MURPHEE GREELEY Soph. Conestoga -- The sophomore became an integral part of the offense for the state champions. Greeley was second on the team with 15 goals and eight assists. M ERIKA MARKLEY Sr. Owen J. Roberts -- Mainly a defensive midfielder, Markley was able to stifle most team’s creative midfielders. The North Carolina State recruit was named to the PAC-10 first team and compiled eight assists. M SHELBY CHRISTOPHER Sr. Avon Grove -- The senior has made a first-team all-league squad four straight years, two in the Ches-Mont and two in the Southern Chester County League. Good on the attack and equally strong defensively, Christopher posted eight goals and nine assists this year for the Red Devils. D DORIE HEALD Sr. Henderson -- The Pitt recruit was the engine that helped drive the Warriors to their first district playoff appearance in a few years. Not only was she a tower of strength in defense, but Heald was also a threat on the offensive. D CASEY STEIDLE Jr. Conestoga -- Steidle was the lynchpin in the middle of the Pioneers’ stingy defense. She used her height to also be a danger on offense, where she recorded nine goals and five assists. D TAYLOR THOMPSON Jr. Downingtown East -- Thompson was the backstop of a defense that posted 10 shutouts on the year. The co-captain of the team Thompson used her quickness and athletic ability to thwart opponents’ attacks. D MADISON DAVENPORT Soph., Downingtown West -- A two-year starter, Davenport hit her stride this season to become one of the best defenders in the area. She also chipped in on the offensive end with five goals as she named the team’s MVP. G KATIE FREY Sr. Conestoga -- The senior not only stopped most of the shots that got to her, but she also starred with general skill in playing the position. Her long outlet kicks jump-started the Pioneers attack. She posted 16 shutouts on the year and yielded just three goals. F Amanda Komarnicki Sr. Octorara
