more on the politics...
yeah, so i'm a broken record. the election is really fascinating me this year.
it seems that the tones of both democrats have changed recently as the end of the primary season draws near. it might just be the need to "unite the party" as many are saying, but i'm still seeing this as a possible indicator of the things to come.
people keep telling me it's a long shot, but i need to ask hillary a favor. since i know she will never ever see this blog, it's pretty certain that the pleading will be for nothing.
but i hope she can put aside her ego and take the second slot on the democratic ballot. all of the party infighting and animosity will undoubtedly stay tender through the november election, so the only shot the democrats have of winning is to really set aside differences for the greater good.
the same request goes for barack if he should fail to get the top slot, as unlikely as that might seem right now, stranger things have happened in politics.
both of these candidates offer a bright vision of an america that could be if we all dig down and work hard. both of them want to make changes to the current political landscape. both of them have the ability to inspire people like i've never seen in a political leader in my lifetime. the promise that each of them show could be put to the best use if they pull together and help this country through some rough times.
if they are truly, as each of them say, doing this to help us all, then they will forget the fighting and the bitterness and the sniper-fire and the pastors and work together toward their very similar goals of improving the lives of millions of americans.
