There is an issue in the news lately about energy use, specifically something called "clean" coal. apparently it hasn't been invented yet, but when it gets invented its supposed to provide all of the energy of burned coal, but none of the pollutants. It sounds like a great idea.
Why not go one step better? Why not invent "clean" nuclear power? That would mean nuclear energy with no radioactive waste. It has to be at least as good as "clean" coal, maybe better, it makes about as much sense.
