Wow! I wish I could do some of this stuff. Is there anything available for local people to attend? I'm not the best blogger but I would love to write about what's happening in Kunkletown (my area). We may be a small town, but we are rich in culture (not to mention John Deere equipment). I think the town gets a bad rep because of its' high suicide rate, but it's still very pretty.

Man I laughed myself red at the subtle humor you guys inserted in that column! Anyone else catch it? You attended a seminar on great photos and then you show that picture at the end of the editor with his glasses falling off, mouth open, and eyes focused on something else! Brilliant!!!

This is the sort of thing that will make the Berksmont Times a new staple in my internet reading!!

Please reserve your negativity for another blog, Mr. Ray. This is a serious site.

I hate to be a critic, but it's ironic that an article about reporters going to classes on being a better journalist is riddled with typos...this one being the most glaring: "• Great photographs keep readers a critique and training session on better photojournalism"

I thought the article was neat. I never new what type of training journalists had to went through to be at the top of their game and now I doo. Whew... no wonder I could never write. I always wanted to, and always wanted to go to school for it, but it's definitely more harder than I ever thought. Thank you for the ensightfull articles!

You know when taken together Jerry and Ray's comments either point to a great parody, or just sloppy journalism. I tempted to toss it up to parody, but maybe there was a REASON the staff took these classes.

Or maybe I'm just being too cleaver by half.

If you don't have anything nice to say, please don't post. Some of us enjoy the open discussion.

Hey Marjorie, who died and made you the moderator of these comments? Civility is fine, but now you're advocating censorship! Why don't you post a list of books we should all burn while you're at it!

I hate to be a naysayer, but I half to agree with mchale, marjorie. As an aspiring journalist myself, I realize that without free speech, we are like other countrys withiout certain freedoms. You may not want to here what other people may want to say, but it;s there wright to say it.

To the editor: I liked this post and wondered if most newspaper editors and reporters attend similar events year-round? I was thinking of taking up journalism (I'm in my third year as a nursing student, but thinking of taking another major.)

Seems like we had some feedback on that Clinton story, but this follow-up "People Attend Meeting", seems a little dry. Is the next topic going to be "Dog Bites Man'?

Hey Howie Mandel Jr.!
I was excited when you guys first announced you would be blogging on a regular basis...now it seems the only time there's a post in when it's a dead news day. How about giving us eager readers some new material to read, eh?
