Tim Tebow, Quinn Cozzens and .... Ron Burgundy?

Hello everyone. I'm not sure how many of you can still access this blog because our paper's main site has been down for a while. That's one of the reasons I've been slow to update it lately – I'm not sure how many people can access it, unless you have it bookmarked. Just a quick note: our company (not me, but the people at our corporate office) is in negotiations with a new buyer. So hang tight, but we're here for the time being until negotiations go final.

Here are a few things to chew on this chilly Thursday afternoon.

• The E-town boys beat Solanco by 38 points last night. Wow. Quinn Cozzens led them with 16 points and is averaging 12.6 ppg in the Bears' first 12 games. E-town's got a ton of mojo right now. This Tuesday, they'll host Hempfield, who is also 11-1 and tied with the Bears for the best record in the L-L League. Of course, I'll have PLENTY on this huge regular season showdown. Check back Monday for a preview of the game.

• Quick predictions for this weekend's NFL playoffs: Baltimore over Tennessee, Pittsburgh over San Diego (setting up a GREAT AFC championship of Ravens/Steelers); Carolina over Arizona and Philly over the G-Men. Eli just isn't the same team without Plaxico, and the Iggles are playing with house money. Please note that I despise both of these teams (NY and Philly) and wish there was a way for both of them to lose. Alas.

•Lastly, I leave you with this. Oklahoma's offense is scary, Florida's is scarier. They can put out 5 or 6 or more guys AT THE SAME TIME that run a sub 4.4 40. Also, one of Oklahoma's defensive backs said Tim Tebow would be the fourth best quarterback in the Big 12. That's laughable. He should know by now, that you don't tug on Superman's cape. Right Timmy?

Gators in a shootout.

That's all for now. As always, stay classy Elizabethtown. (that's the Ron Burgundy part of the title, in case you were curious).
