Another tough night

It was another tough night on the hill for the Tide.
Columbia lost to York Suburban as they surrendered 521 yards on the ground.
Columbia had a couple of bright spots on offense.

Read this week's Columbia Ledger for a full report on the game and also a preview of Friday's game with Daniel Boone.

Sounds like the Tide may need a Burke at the helm again?

After years of qaulity teams, an off year was bound to happen. They still play hard, that's all that matters. I don't think a coaching change would make much of a difference.

A coaching change would make a difference only if the players buy into what the coach is selling. If the players don't respect the coach they won't perform to the expectations that are set at the school.

Since Coach Burke only had one losing season in all his years, he too was bound to have a mediocre season if what you say is true. Instead, he commanded respect and never once disrespected his players by blaming them in public forums for losses. Maybe the kids that have graduated were making the present coach look good and now those athletes are gone????? You only get what you give...

There is no offensive scheme. just sit in the same formations.

Where is the Columbia Attitude and desire? there isn't a coach up there right now that motivates.

Those coaches have moved on unfortunately for us, one is at Hempfield and one is out at CBAA for some reason.
