Sam speaks
After Monday night’s game in which he played just under 13 minutes, Samuel Dalembert was nowhere to be seen. That’s not that unusual after the kind of game Dalembert had. Guys hide in the training room, drag out their showers and outwait the reporters who are on deadline.
On Monday, Dalembert escaped to the team’s locker room then told the team’s public relations director he wouldn’t talk.
Tuesday, however, he did, finally commenting on the performance of David West, who went 6-for-7 in the first seven minutes of the game.
“I did make him shoot over me and he hit the shots and that happens,” Dalembert said. “I just think he was on fire.”
Dalembert also said he’s frustrated when he’s forced to sit and watch.
“It’s very upsetting, but what can you do?” he said. “I cannot go out there and sub myself.”
