Hey all... welcome to my new blog here on DelcoTimes.com.
I can promise that it'll be fun and exciting and we'll talk a lot of hockey along the way, but I'll also be rambling about other topics as well, so feel free to comment about anything I say, and I'll try to
shout back at you as soon as I can.
First thing's first....
MSG is the best building in America to watch hockey... bar none! I know everyone talks about the Wachovia Center being the most intimidating, and it might be, but MSG is far more intimate an the New York crowd is great.
It really gets you into the game, especially from our press box seats about 15 feet to the left and 20 feet above Antero Niittymaki's head!
Speaking of Niitty, I'm in favor of him starting tonight. He's been really good lately and I think Stevens is making a bold, yet correct choice in riding the hot goalie.
However, we are only minutes away from finding out if he is correct!
By the way, Simon Gagne, Jason Smith and Sami Kapanen are all back. Scottie Upshall remains out.

Anthony - There's something I miss about hockey and I think it's the fourth line goones. As a fan, seeing Domi, Probert, Berube on the ice at the same time invariably had me on the edge of my seat. I grew up watching a style of hockey and I miss it.
I agree, but only in part.
Sure, the goon's are gone, and those games with a number of great fights/brawls are of course, the most memorable.
But, fighting is up this year over recent years because the league is allowing the players police themselves a bit more.
Now, every team has at least one goon. A couple years ago, when they first came out of the lockout, there wasn't room for a goon on your team.
Let's hope the trend continues, eh?
