Bottled Caps!

Flyers win 6-3.

Great game for Danny Briere. He is proving to be a player worth eight figures. He had 2 goals and an assist and now has 4-2-6 in three playoff games.

Mike Richards penalty shot was brilliant. It was a move taught to him by none other than Peter Forsberg.

The Flyers are 2-for-7 lifetime in penalty shots in the playoffs. Eric Lindros scored the only other penalty shot goal against Steve Shields of Buffalo in the second round of the 1997 playoffs.

Richards on his goofy celebration:

"I was just excited. It was my first playoff goal. I was really excited and that was just me acting (crazy)."

Kimmo Timonen hurt his right arm somewhere crashing into the in-goal camera. No one on the Flyers would comment on the severity of the injury, but sports writer's intuition says Timonen is not in the lineup for Game 4.

John Stevns on th Flyers good luck charm:

"I didn't know what song we were singing, but I was hoping it was God Bless America. (It was, with Lauren Hart and Kate Smith doing the Nat King and Natalie Cole style duet). It was terrific. The crowd and the noise. THe shrill of the crowd, you look down the bench and the guys were jacked from it."

It was the first time the Flyers scored more than four goals since Jan. 20th.

Sami Kapanen scored just his third goal since Oct. 18.

Marty Biron took a shot from Alexander Semin off the right ear. It dazed him for a moment, but he stayed in the game.

Speaking of Biron, he and his wife Ann Marie gave birth to a bouncing baby girl Monday named Emily Grace. It is the Birons' third child and second daughter.
