'Nuff Said
We'll do a quick entry this morning as I need to get down to the rally at City Hall ...
I think I've made it known that I am one of the two Philadelphia BBWAA members with the MVP vote this year, and entering Sunday I seriously had no clue whether I would vote for Jimmy Rollins or Matt Holliday. Both had ridiculously big seasons and led their respective teams in words and actions, particularly down the stretch (and, in truth, Holliday overall was even better than Rollins in Sept.).
However, when Rollins led off the bottom of the first with a single, stole second, stole third when Shane Victorino didn't move him over, then scored on Utley's sacrifice fly, I literally started an e-mail to the BBWAA, typed Jimmy Rollins' name first, Holliday's second, rounded out my top 10, and hit 'Send.'
Game over. Rollins earned that award all season, but he wrapped it up with that game-shaping first at-bat. And I think he'll win the thing, although I'd wager that he, Holliday and Fielder won't be separated by more than 20-25 points. It will be very close.

Who is the other writer with the MVP vote?
It's Paul Hagen of the Daily News. He voted Holliday 1st and Rollins 7th (kidding, kidding ... don't send him hate mail).
