At Least THIS Didn't Happen in Penn Delco
HARRISBURG, Pa. — A federal grand jury Tuesday indicted an investment broker from Chester County on multiple counts of fraud for investing four Pennsylvania school districts’ money in a golf course venture that left taxpayers with a net loss of more than $10 million.
The story points, "The state school code allows districts to invest the proceeds of bond issues for capital projects, but limits such investments to certain conservative categories..."
Something about this reminds me of the Penn Delco split-dollar insurance hustle, but this district lost a lot more.

Man you beat a dead horse worse than anyone I know.
The dead horses on school boards need to be tenderized.
Last week we had an anonymous poster on here saying that all these lives will be ruined if a certain person was to go to trial. I would hope that the judge in charge would not allow this case to become more of a circus then it already is. Some of the things that were insinuated were totally irrelevant to the charges this man faces. What someone did in Vegas or Chicago has nothing to do with the accused having drugs, needles or being involved with ethics violations and what ever else they have on him. This is clearly an attempt to threaten people and their private lives. I understand that his lawyer will try and discredit people that are testifying against his client but I can't see a judge of our court system allowing a reckless attempt at ruining someone’s credibility when it has no bearing on the case in front of him. This person is scared and he is getting desperate. He should not be allowed to intimidate people on this forum either. The guy doesn't know what ethics are and I hope he goes to jail for what he has done and what he is doing now. If this person did this, or said these things to the people that are going to testify in any other form he would be charged with additional crimes. It’s time to man up Mr. C and take what you have coming. You will achieve nothing continuing with these tactics except to bring more shame and embarrassment to yourself and your family.
Dear Somebody,
A defendant in a criminal case who engages in conduct to unlawfully intimidate or retaliate against a witness commits a crime and should be reported to the authorities.
That said, however, a defense lawyer's responsibility is to appropriately attack the credibility of the witnesses against his or her client at the trial. Appropriately means, of course, that the attack must be based on accurate and truthful factual allegations which are relevant to the witnessess' credibility.
It's the prosecutor's responsibility to make objections to any inappropriate attacks at the trial.
And it's the judge's responsibility to rule on those objections and ultimately protect the witnesses against inappropriate attacks at the trial.
Our adverserial system of justice does not always work perfectly, but it most certainly does work.
Thank you for your post.
I was the person who posted the remarks about other becomig involbed and hurt if this goes to trial. I am not one of them thank god. However the person who posted last is correct. whoever gets on the stand will be asked questions as to their credibility. I.e. did you ever use drugs? Have you ever had relations outside of marriage, have you ever stolen, have you ever, the list is endless. Now, these accusations have to be proven and somehow I think they can be. What I don't want to see is a trial and a lot and I mean a lot of lives get destroyed because of a trial. And no one is trying to scare anyone. This is just part of the process. If the peopel who testify have nothing to worry about then they don't have to worry, if they do, it will be exposed. That is not threats, it is the way the courts work. I think it may go to trial and that the above may happen, but hopefully not. Nothing at all wrong with I said or stated. Just the way it is. No intimidation intended just giving my opinion on what MAY happen. Big difference.
Somebody Said: Are you kidding me? Talk about intimidating. You must be one of the ones who have to worry. You just proved the point of the other poster. That is great.
