Gitmo for the Brats

Denver prepares an "arrest processing center" for protesters at the Democratic convention. Protest organizers are calling it a "secret prison." How secret can it be since we're reading all about it?

But they have a point. What liberal protesters and activists need are more schools, not prisons.

Oh, wait, that's where they learned about the importance of protesting and civil disobedience in the first place.

Protesters are calling it "Gitmo on the Platte," presuming, we guess, they'll be held indefinitely, tortured, and tried before military tribunals.

How embarrassing for them if they are just charged with disorderly conduct, processed and released on their own recognizance.

Also mentioned is the group Recreate '68.

It's headliners include Black Panter Kathleen Cleaver, ex-Democrat and Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney and Ward "Little Eichmans" Churchill, the defrocked professor and academic fraud.

Sounds more like Diano's cup of tea.

Not that Unconventional Denver, doesn't.

Here is the groups' statement:

"So we come here today with this offer: If the Democrats and their allies in the city government of Denver can show their good faith ... can show they are immediately working for real positive change by using their 50 million dollar federal grant for something better than crushing democracy then we will change our plans. If they are willing to do this, then Unconventional Denver and hundreds of anarchists coming to town will sit this one out. We anarchists are willing to call off all of our protests, if the democrats are willing to call off their occupation of Denver and re-invest their police budget toward real community security.

"New elementary schools; healthcare for the uninsured; providing clean, renewable energy to the city- 50 million dollars could do all of this. If this money is used to concretely demonstrate that meeting people's needs will be the top priority of the Democratic Party and the City of Denver instead of protecting the robber barons of today, we will spend the last week of August with our friends and family continuing our work of furthering our communities instead of direct action confronting the Democratic National Convention.

Otherwise.... we'll see you in the streets."

Great. See you in the streets, guys. Just behave... lawfully and peacefully, or you'll be locked up.

That means you too, Uncoventional Diano.

"How many thousands are they planning to arrest?"

However many thousands break the law by not behaving in an orderly and legal manner.

The Boy Scout oath applies: Be Prepared... for idiots.

Diano loves cops like he "loves the troops."

He prefers they go home and leave the streets to hooligans and criminals.

I was actually in NYC four years ago for the convention and saw nothing but pros doing their jobs like pros.

Lol! Soooo true!

See, Dishonest Dave, for the most part Righties don’t partake in violent protest like their overly emotional Lib counterparts regularly do.
How about the threats made by that Lib protestor! All that shrill Lib emotion and anger… and they say the Right divides… Lol…
The moment the Libs turn violent and destructive (as they always do when protesting something which has hurt their fragile feelings) the Police should be free to mow them down with automatic weapon fire.

And Dishonest Dave reminds me of Michael Moore ...only more feminine and not quite as smart.
