One False Moderate

Rich Lowry on the false moderation of Barack Obama:

"If elected, Obama will return to Washington with expanded and emboldened liberal majorities in both the Senate and the House. Congress was the un-doing of his two Democratic forebears. Carter was stiff-necked with a Democratic Congress, and that made it nearly impossible for him to govern; Clinton accommodated his Democratic Congress in 1993-94, and it pulled him to the left to devastating effect in the 1994 congressional elections.

"For a President Obama, moderation could no longer be merely a pose that represents the path of political least resistance; he’d have to fight for it every day with partisan colleagues who are older and tougher than he is."

Sounds about right.

Obama is lying. He has toned down his Radical Leftist views in a dishonest attempt to appeal to Moderates. He indeed will say ANYTHING to get elected. And then he'll return to his Rad Left roots once safely in office.

Even Moderates who lean Lib must be able to see the scary prospect of having a Radical Liberal in the White House with two Radical Liberals running Congress with no one able to stop them from inflicting their Radical Agenda on America.
As we have been told so much in recent years: We need checks and balances to prevent a runaway government.
Think before you vote, folks.

do you mean like tossing about false charges that his opponent is un-american or a terrorist sympathizer? oh, wait, that's mccain's strategy.

mr. spencerblog, obama and congress need to work hard to pull us back from the cliff on the right just to get us back to the center.
