They Want Their Guns Back

Check out this video about the failure of gun control in England.

They outlawed handguns to make the country safer, now gun violence is up 40 percent. Pretty dramatic proof that gun laws don't work as advertised.

If a person is willing to commit the crime of murder, robbery or assault with a firearm, why would anyone think that breaking a gun law or two along the way would deter them. Let's see, you get the death penalty for killing someone (sometimes) and I'm not worried about that, but that two years in jail I'll get for a gun crime, now that's gonna stop me!

Oh and there's another brilliant idea... Let's confiscate all the guns. All those honest criminals who aren't allowed to own them and obtained them unlawfully are sure to turn them in for destruction!

Sad state of affairs, but laws can always be changed. Let's hope they come to their senses. Things could be worse, they could live in New Jersey, or the peoples republic of New Jersey.

According to the FBI Uniformed Crime Report there were 9,326 murders committed with firearms in the US in 2004.

16,694 people died in alcohol-related crashes in 2004, 14,409 (86%) were killed in crashes where at least one driver or nonoccupant had a blood alcohol content(BAC) of .08 g/dL or higher. The legal limit for BAC is currently .08 in all states in the US.

Human beings tend to kill other human beings. This has been true since Cane killed Able, no matter what implements of destruction are available.

Cocaine is illegal everywhere in the United States. Tons and tons of the stuff are smuggled into the country every year. What would stop a drug lord in Columbia from packaging a pistol in every kilo like a toy in a cereal box?

Another great NRA video. What was with the guy carrying a dummy on his shoulders? It looked like Reagan. The video was all over the place. Fox hunting, handgun confiscation, a robbery. Very strange. And then e wants to throw alcohol related car accidents into the mix.
