Uh, Keith, You're Mike's Hot
Keith "Oh God!" Olbermann, what a pro!
UPDATE: We're told that it was actually Chris Matthews uttered the "Oh God" comment. So it was Tweedle Dum, not Tweedle Dee.

Don't worry too much over anything Oberman or the other chuckleheads at MSNBC are doing. The ratings there are so bad that the entire network is going to be overhauled or disbanded. Oberman can't draw a third of Bill O'Reily's audience.
I think the "Oh God" was in reaction to Jindal's cartoonish entrance. This is what the Republicans have to offer?
This was some kind of a joke, right? He was talking to us like we were 4 year olds. Mr. Rogers goes to Washington? Weren't you Republicans embarassed?
Sarah Palin could have done a better job than this guy. If that's the competition, the Dems have nothing to worry about.
Bob,
Just imagine the same disgusted "Oh God," from say, Brit Hume, as President Obama took center stage. His professionalism would be rightly questioned.
Olbermann has a history of this sort of thing. If he's the best the MSNBC has to offer, well...
Gil - What was your opinion of Jendal's performance? I've heard the hype, but like many people, I was seeing Jendal for the first time. And I wasn't impressed. BTW, Chris Mathews is the best thing MSNBC has to offer. I would be the first to agree that Olberman is a bit to much. But to be honest with you, when I saw Jendal walk out, I had the same reaction. It looked comical. But s**t happens, right? Just ask Peggy Noonan. I remember her "hot mike" comment on Sarah Palin. And since you are in the new business, maybe you can answer this. When these things happen, is it the fault of the host or the sound man?
Gil,
As much as I despise Olberman, it wasn't him. It was actually Chris Matthews. If you click on my name it will take you to Matthews explanation of the incident.
Right. Since corrected.
If it was Brit Hume, he would be saying "Oh God" referring to Jindal as the upcoming republican messiah.
However, AFTER the speech, even Brit Hume and the Fox News cheerleaders were underwhelmed.
BRIT HUME: "The speech read a lot better than it sounded. This was not Bobby Jindal's greatest oratorical moment."
NINA EASTON: "The delivery was not exactly terrific."
CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: "Jindal didn't have a chance. He follows Obama, who in making speeches, is in a league of his own. He's in a Reagan-esque league. ... [Jindal] tried the best he could."
JUAN WILLIAMS: "It came off as amateurish, and even the tempo in which he spoke was sing-songy. He was telling stories that seemed very simplistic and almost childish.
Mike - Thanks for clearing that up. Gil - I expect a full apology to Keith Olberman on this blog by tomorrow morning. Either that, or another funny picture of Spencer.
Oh God! Did Bobby Jindal make up the boat story?
Gil - Looks like I called that one. Seems as though the Bobby Jindal boat story was a bit of a fabrication. So wheres the Spencerblog post on this story?
Wheres the outrage? If I remember right, when Hillary told the story of dodging bullets on the tarmac, you were right on top of it. When you thought Olberman made an unreasonable comment, you were right on top of it. Are you giving Piyush Jindal as pass on this one?
First, I've heard of it.
Looks like they got him though, which means from now on Jindal is only qualified to be Vice President or Secretary of State.
Gil - You know what really scares me? And this goes, not only for Jindal, but also for Hillary and everyone else in politics. These are supposed to be some of the brightest people this country has to offer, and they haven't figured out yet, that this is the age of Google, where just about anything and everything can be researched.
If you lie, someone is going to call you on it. Period!
MOVIE RECOMENDATION - Changeling
Just watched it. Excellent!
Saw it in the theater. Good, not great.
Rent Ghost Town, very enjoyable.
