Camille the Magnificent

Our own Camille Paglia, that libertarian lesbian Democrat, skewers Obama's political team of flacks, fixers and goons and not only defends Rush Limbaugh and his right to spout off, she admires him for his principles and grit.

Money Q:

And I'm sick of people impugning Rush's wealth and lifestyle, which is no different from that of another virtuoso broadcaster who hit it big -- Oprah Winfrey. Rush Limbaugh is an embodiment of the American dream: He slowly rose from obscurity to fame on the basis of his own talent and grit. Every penny Rush has earned was the result of his rapport with a vast audience who felt shut out and silenced by the liberal monopoly of major media.

Can't wait to hear what she thinks of Jerry Springer.

She also has a few harsh words for feebleness of the current crop of Republican leaders, all well-earned and deserved.

Good stuff.

it's a good article and it hits on two key points:

1) Obama has members of his staff/cabinet out to play these "reindeer games". Does anyone really believe Rahm Emmanuel is really after our best interests? Or should we re-title him as "Chief of Partisanship"? I don't want to hear the "Well Bush did this" nonsense, espeically when Obama promised unity. If Obama wants me on his side he needs to 1) Drop the embargo with Cubs - way overdue, 2) Replace Emammuel ASAP. If I can get those two, I'll put the "O" on the back of my car and put "2012" under it.

2) Republican leadership IS in shambles - who's going to lie about it? I like Steele, though, been following him for a few years, and I have confidence in his ability to rally the base in the next two years. After all, our government needs more than one political party in power - otherwise we're in an "Animal Farm" situation - see the city of philadelphia...

Rush is the embodiment of the dream to put down women, minorities and other religions all the while making tons of money.
