An Abortionist, a Pro-Life Zealot and Blame
Late-term abortionist George Tiller was murdered by the anti-abortion zealot. Pro-choice groups and progressives are blaming the entire pro-life movement for the crime, despite the fact that just about every pro-group in the country explicitly takes a moral stand against such acts of violence.
The murder appears to be the act of a deranged man acting alone. So the efforts of pro-choicers to paint their pro-life foes as morally responsible for Tiller's death has the odor of political exploitation.
Tiller made his living "giving a choice" to women who want to end their pregnancies after 21 weeks, usually because of tests that showed fetal abnormalities. But Dr. Tiller was well-known to have provided late-term abortions to women for just about any reason they gave for wanting to end their pregnancy.
He ran one of the few remaining late-term abortion clinics in the U.S. and was probably the most famous and infamous abortionist in the world.
His murder has already put pro-life groups on the defensive with the media and pro-choicers. But Bill "No Spin" O'Reilly isn't backing down from his coverage of Tiller's history.
More later.

If we are going to blame groups or indivduals for assassinations (without any evidence) then I ask who is to blame for John F. Kennedy's death? Knowing the Lee Harvey Oswald was a far left leaning ideologue, it stands that we blame all of those who are on the radical left and in particular there leaders. Then again, if we follow that logic, Then there is Bobby Kennedy's assassination---well you know, I could go on and on, etc. Lets blame the indivudual for crimes committed, unless there is proof that a group or more than one person was involved, other wise one must beieve that paranoia is the reason for these unjust accusations.
By that logic, you shouldn't blame Al Quada or Bin Laden for every terrorist or suicide bomber.
Inciting to violence is a real problem and people like O'Reilly are hip dip in encouraging these fanatics. Bill-O routinely portrayed Tiller as a mass murder and directly compared him to the Nazis. It was a "call to arms".
Bill O'Reilly, is he your hero Gil? "No Spin"!?!? The man is all about spin.
There is "EVIDENCE" supporting both Bin Laden and Al Quada are behind the terrorist activties. There is proof that they kill women and children, where there is no "EVIDENCE" against O'Reilly---if there were then charges would be pending. Now do you understand?
You are nuts. Bill O'Reily engages in free speech and is critical of someone's practices in performing third trimester abortions. He never organized squads of people to fly planes into buildings or kill people. I love this "call to arms" crap. Do read the postings on HuffPo or Daily Kos? How many times were Bush or Chaney called "war criminals?" What is that, if not a reference to Nazism? is that a "call to arms?"
The freedom of speech is not the freedom to speak only about non-controversial topics. It is amazing how, once liberals get power, all their screaming about the first amendment, self-expression and dissent goes away.
You want violence? Look at PETA throwing (fake) blood on people. How about the Earth First lunatics? How about rioting WMF protestors? How about the journalist who threw a shoe at Pres. Bush because of Iraq? How about Anne Coulter who was almost assaulted at an appearance and needs a bodyguard when she goes to speak on college campuses? How about the Black Panthers intimidating voters in Philadelphia? No wonder liberals are so aware of violence and intimidation entering politics: you guys use it regularly!
Further, no one DOES blame Bin Laden or Al Quada for EVERY bombing. Certainly, car bombs in Northern Ireland aren't on him. The above post was attempting to point out the faulty logic behind such reasoning!
Well said.
This blog should have symbols to differentiate between the hysterical ranting "Anonymous" and the logical "Anonymous".
Gil, maybe you could put anon-diano and his ilk (if there are any more) in different colors, as a service to your readers.
