Do you think that I an American citizen, that any and I emphasize "any" politician cares about your health? If you agree that the answer is NO, then they must be motivated for some other reason. I know what I believe it is called "control" or power. The simple answer to the problems with Universal Health care, is the lack of trust by the American people for there representatives, period.
The crowd size estimate by the Washington DC fire department was 60,000 to 70,000. Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event falsely claimed that ABC News had reported over 1 million people and ABC put out a statement that they had NEVER made such an estimate. However, some people picked on the rumor, over the facts, including Spencerblog. The crowds were in the "tens of thousands". Not hundreds of thousands nor over a million.

The London Telegraph is estimating the number of participants at well over a million. The news media in this country will do anything to down play it.
For those interested here's a good analysis of the crowd estimate
