Obama-Style Naivete
Not even Richard Cohen is made to "feel safer" by Obama's handling of terrorists.
The announced closing of Guantanamo has also suffered from a peculiar Obama-style naivete. It is now apparent that there are some bad hombres there who should be detained way past the time they are eligible for AARP membership. It's true that the world does not like Guantanamo, but then it's also true that the world is not an al-Qaeda target.Apparently, some on the left are finally getting it when it comes to national security.

just so incoherent....i think you are confusing another typical pants pissing washington insider (see Dowd, Mo, Kristol, B, Freidman, T) who long for a Daddy in the White House with the more reasoned and measured approach the the current grown ups in the administration are espousing. Remember, these are the same folks who thought Clinton's sausage was a weapon of Constitutional destruction. Some loser tries to light his nuts on fire on a plane and you guys are ready to tear up the Constitution and surrender your liberties on the spot. It's truly embarrassing. Spence: they aren't supervillians, and we have law enforcement and laws in place to deal with them quite well. You can come out from under the bed now. And tell Hannity and Glen Beck it's safe to come out too.
So if you're not willing to try KSM in New York City or interrogate Yemen's latest would-be mass murderer without mirandizing him - you're tearing up the Constitution?
We are NOT obligated to make it easier for terrorists to blow up Americans by giving them the benefit and protections of our Constitution. Right? I mean you do understand that?
And what's so "grown up" about treating foreign terrorists as if they were American citizens? That's just stupid.
Also what are the "liberties" you think I am willing to "surrender on the spot"? You don't say. You just wail without making much sense.
But thanks for reading and taking time to join the discussion.
