To Your Health
The state of Delaware County's health is.... lagging, according to a new study.
Delaware County is lagging in several important areas regarding the health of its residents, according to findings of a public health study by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health released Wednesday. Is there any particular part of the county where these things are more prevalant?
The study found the county is improving in some areas, such as obesity, mental health and physical activity, but there are worsening trends for asthma, drug-related deaths, Chlamydia and low birth weight.

here comes the arguements for a health department which will likely do us no good while addding more expense that comes out of our pockets.
You wanna improve the health of this county? Start in Darby Borough and ease the mental and cardiovascular pain of its residents by ending the Paula Brown/Helen Thomas/Cheif Smythe nonsense That alone could put Delco into the 20s.
I must correct myself. We can have a health department by taxing sweet drinks, you know, .40 for a 20 oz bottle of soda and so on. A great man named Nutter led the way.
Wallingford?
Guess again.
Have you no sense of humor?
Is healthcare something to joke about? Is Chlamydia funny to you? Are low-birth weight babies and drug-related deaths, some source of amusement for you?
My God man, have you NO shame!
(Quick, somebody - Am I pulling this off?)
OK, OK! You've made your point!
Rose Valley?
Bingo!
Well, after you ruled out Wallingford, I figured it had to be either Rose Valley or that den of promiscuity, Swarthmore.
