RISE AND SHINE
GOOD MORNING, DELAWARE COUNTY.
A happy President's Day to everybody, especially those who get the day off from school. It's unfortunate the rain will keep you off the playground, but it will surely be a nice day anyway.
Last week we had a major problem with our blog publishing. The blogs were not being publishied Thursday and part of Friday, when the problem was finally taken care of.
Of course, that makes no difference to fans out there. You want your Phillies news immediately and who out there can't go a day without checking out Alex Rose on one end of the spectrum and Blogging with Spencer on the other.
It got Rise and Shine in a little bit of trouble because, in the haste to get things on the Web, I left out one very important line in the Valentines blog. Going back and seeing the original post, which is now published thanks to the miracle of these things we call computers, I left out a Valentines wish to my special Valentines.
So, for that, I offer this:
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
- Lord Byron
Of course, there has to be something to laugh at today.
So, if the browsers are working correctly, take a President's Day break and CHECK THIS OUT
