Rise and Shine

Good Morning, Delaware County!

We are, by nature I think, visual beings. While we profess to believe a lot of things, until we see it with our eyes, it doesn't seem real. When some things become all too real, it can affect us in ways we never thought. Joy and sorrow are very powerful emotions. When they clash on a daily basis, when you can't understand what way you are 'supposed' to feel, we try our best to focus on the joy. It's how we get by.

Anyway, from the way things change file...
Watching television is like a treat in the house. The children are encouraged, as much as possible, to play with toys or games instead of watching television.
There are those times, though, while making dinner or finishing a project, where the television helps out. It calms them down for a couple minutes so everything can be finished.
One day, as a 6-year old and 3-year old were bouncing around, dinner wasn't going to be finished unless they got out of the kitchen.
So, they were overjoyed when told they could watch some television.
Somehow, though, the remote control was hidden and they just turned the TV on and sat there.
About five minutes later, the yelling and screaming started and it became obvious they weren't watching whatever was being beamed through the cable.
All right, let's see what's going on.
So, since the remote control was nowhere to be found, the children didn't know they could just push the buttons on the front of the television to change the channel. Instead, Flavor Flav was ranting about something. A quick push of the button found Curious George instead. Hopefully, the damage is slight.
Well, at least the TV wasn't tuned to FoxNews.
