Be prepared to wait in line on Election Day

If everyone in Pennsylvania who is registered to vote shows up at the polls on Tuesday, we may have to extend the election for a few more days.

State officials have announced that a record total of 8,758,031 Pennsylvania residents have registered to vote for the Nov. 4 election.

The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Expect long lines at the polls, but keep in mind that as long as you are in line by 8 p.m., you will not be turned away. You just may end up spending the night at the polling site, but you will get to vote.
