The Conshohocken Strut

For those of you who didn't attend the car show a few weekends ago, I have a treat for you. I can't take credit for filming it (that belongs to "Alfie the Bear," whoever that is), but I'll gladly say what I could not say in the paper about it.

If you read my article, then I'm sure you're aware that Billy Kill's motivation in writing "The Conshohocken Strut" was largely financial. He told me he wanted to write a song about Conshy to help him peddle his new record.

What is troubling is that I still can't get his song out of my head. It's catchy, I'll give him that. But he appears to have rented a Delorian and traveled back in time to 1985 to steal one of John Mellencamp's worst b-sides from the cutting room floor.

The footage you want to see starts at 1:20 in the video. Enjoy.

Word is that he's performing before the fireworks on Thursday night. Needless to say, I'm salivating over the chance to be around such a high-profile celebrity again.
