Christmas in D.C.

Rockefeller Center may be the best-known holiday destination, but Washington D.C. offers a pretty good show and is less crowded and expensive. The museums are free, and so is the weekend street parking along the mall if you can find it.

Union Station Christmas tree. There is also a large train layout set up here:


National Christmas tree, and the Pennsylvania sub-tree which was decorated by students from Springfield (Montco) ES this year. The trees are located across the street from the White House in a park, featuring decorations from each U.S. state and territory. Concerts, a Santa's Workshop and this fire pit are all at the site:

The National Fire Pit. Just wood, no government documents.
