Costume glitz

Hollywood glamor

"Fashion in Film: Period Costumes for the Screen" is on display Sunday through Aug. 9 in the Kress and Rodale Galleries at the Allentown Art Museum, 31 N. Fifth St., Allentown. The 36 period costumes span Elizabethan England to 1950s Argentina. The films in which the costumes were used include "Elizabeth," "Evita," "Dangerous Liaisons," "Ever After," "Pride and Prejudice," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Out of Africa," and "Titanic," among others. Mounted photo murals and posters from the films complete the show.

Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission to the exhibit is $5 in addition to regular admission of $6, $4 for seniors and students, $3 for children 6-12, free on Sundays. 'Quiet' time

Duck herding, sheep shearing, old time games, pony rides, horse-drawn wagon rides and more are a part of Farm Animal Frolic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and May 23 and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and May 24 at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm, 1000 Turkey Hill Road, Stroudsburg. Watch the parade

The Celtic Cultural Alliance holds a 2009 Kilted Celtic Crawl to support the Celtic Classic event starting at 2 p.m. Sunday along Main Street in Bethlehem. Offering 'Hope'

Dancing fiesta

Beer fans flock

Mount Hope Estate, Route 72, south of Pennsylvania Turnpike exit 266, Cornwall, hosts 30 different breweries for BrewFest on Saturday. The festival is broken into two separate sessions — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Maximize your BrewFest experience with a kickoff Friday night concert at the Swashbuckler Brewery & Restaurant with Scythian and The Punch Brothers. Remember Nick Berg

Bergopalooza, a concert to benefit the Nick Berg Memorial Scholarship Fund, is set for noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at The Note, 142 E. Market St., West Chester. Berg was kidnapped and murdered five years ago during the war in Iraq. Bands performing include The Inverse, Steppin' Razor, and Rob Perna and the New Kings of Rhythm. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted and there will be raffles and silent auctions.
