Brother Needs Help
Hi, Ed, my brother who lives in Mercer County was just told by his doctor that he has to go on permanent disability. He doesn’t know who to call or where to start. Maybe some of your loyal readers can tell us what to do.

In addition to contacting SSA, the payroll/HR person at your brother's current employer should be able to assist with obtaining and filling out papers for disability.
Contact an attorney that handles social security disability cases.
This is the ONLY person who can give you the valid information to succeed in your application.
Call Binder and Binder. They will help file a claim with SSI and save you the heart-ache and time wasted on an intial application done by yourself that will more than likely get rejected by Social Security.
