Let The Dog In

Hi, Ed, I call every year to remind your readers that the temperatures are growing cold again. If you have outside pets, which is never recommended, they must have protective covering, a place to get out of the wind, rain and snow. You have to give them proper protection, a doghouse and an electric water bowl so that their water does not freeze. Otherwise you are breaking the law. This includes cats, too; they must have some kind of shelter to get out of the elements. You bought or adopted them. Take care of them.

Plus it’s fun to build a dog house. One more way to one-up the neighbors. Go for a solar-powered electric dish and a Canadian rocker doggie porch swing to really make a statement.—Ed. Note

The Shelter isn't a pet shop. That is one thing the rescue groups don't seem to get. They take dogs at will from the shelter under his time there nd then they put them up for adoption on the web site for upwrds of 300.00. Seems that money is the driving influence of some rescue groups, not animal welfare.
Signed: Tell it like it is.
