Quite a hot streak
Compared to Thursday, Rutgers had a bad day Sunday on the recruiting trail.
The Knights only got one commitment from a highly-touted recruit, compared to three on Thursday.
But hey, at least it's something.
All kidding aside though, the Knights are on quite a role. After getting a commitment today from Paulsboro's Gerald Hodges, they have seven commitments in the last week and 16 overall for the Class of 2009. Of those 16, 10 are rated as either three-star or four-star recruits by Rivals.com, and six -- including Hodges -- are rated four-star recruits by Scout.com.
Signing Day isn't until Feb. 5, so many developments are likely months away. But based on what Rutgers already has, the Knights have a good chance to come out with the top recruiting class in the Big East, and one of the best in the nation.
