The Blog dabbled in college hockey during the ECAC tournament, so why not baseball? 

The MAAC champion Rider baseball team is heading to Fullerton, Calif. for the NCAA tournament regionals, and the school has some publicity for a reason other than Jason Thompson. 

The Fullerton region also includes the top-seeded  hosts from Cal State Fullerton, second-seeded UCLA and third-seeded Virginia. 

The Broncs leave on a five-hour cross-country flight tomorrow. 

Next week, we'll go more in depth about Jason Thompson's draft preparation. For now though, it was fun going through mock drafts and seeing where each draft "expert" had him being drafted. Looking ahead to the draft is one thing that, as I wrote in my column in today's paper, is cool about the month of May.
