UMBC for the Broncs? If there was any evidence the program gets no respect that may be it.

Siena not getting Butler is the biggest lack of respect in the MAAC

Maybe Siena should be thankful to get this macthup. It's against the 1st place team of a conference held in much higher regard by the committee than the MAAC. And it is playing an opponent that is at least getting votes in the 2 polls, something Siena isn't. Their opportunity is exactly what the bracket buster was created for 7 years ago, for a mid major to showcase itself against another. Butler is ranked in the top 25 so their at large situation is all set as is Davidson, so that macthup is made for the pure marquee matchup that they can throw on tv. The bottom line is that this whole brackbuster thing has become EXTREMELY watered down over the past few years once all these conferences threw all their teams into the pool. Every conference knows going into a year, or whenever the deadline to subit your teams for this event which are the cream of their conferences crop. What does St. Peter's or Canisius playing another non-conference game against another team from a similar game really accompish?

Siena fans spinning this as good when ESPN has told them they don't think they are any good, no wins against the top 50 and their rpi is inflated
