Good draw for Rider. Hofstra is a "name" school and it's a winnable game. They're big and athletic but they can't score.

despite hofstra's 170 rpi it seems as if they win the games they are supposed to and lose the ones they aren't. no real bad losses there. should be an interesting matchup although a basically meaningless one

Iona gets William and Mary. Siena gets its BUtler matchup with a 10 AM LOCAL TIP TIME.

Let the complaining begin about why such an early tip off.

The more I even think about it it seems a bit ridiculous that one of the premiere if not the premiere Bracketbuster matchup is being played in the AM. Can't imagine they couldn't shuffle the tv schedule around anymore to get that to at least a mid afternoon tip.

Relax there XYZ. Siena will get pounded by Butler (like they did at Northern iowa) whether they play morning, noon or night.

Agree w/FAZ on drawing Hofstra. While they're not great, they are an ok team in one of the best mid-major conferences and have "name" recognition in the NYC metro area. Way better a game than UMBC or CS-Northridge of the past 2 years.

Broncs-Pride should be a good game.

I'm not sure I agree with dogging the Rider-Northridge matchup from two years ago.

It gave a lot of the west coast scouts an opportunity to look at Jason Thompson (although RT played much better than he that game). It's been said that Sacramento got interested in JT at said game.
JT's stock may not have risen as much had he not played in the televised games such as that CSUN game. (I'm just saying)

Meanwhile, ESPN is playing a cruel joke on Marist, making they travel cross-country to get beat by the UCI Anteaters. Perhaps the Red Foxes can squeeze a trip to Disneyland out of all this...
