Hamburg football highlights: vs. Annville-Cleona on Sept. 5

Last week I attended the home opener for the Hamburg Hawks football team.

Coming off a tough 21-20 loss in Week 1 to ELCO, a game which Hamburg led 20-0 at halftime, the Hawks definitely wanted to avoid another letdown. Annville-Cleona provided a tough challenge for Hamburg, and this game came down to the final minutes.

Hamburg can thank its defense for keeping Annville-Cleona out of the end zone just enough last Friday, and Jordan Ernst for some inspiring clutch plays on the final scoring drive.
