Bears Share Section Crown
Well, well, well, looks like E-town will be in the league playoffs after all. After the dust settled from a wild weekend in boy's soccer, the Bears found themselves tied atop Section Two with Ephrata. The Bears actually had one more win than the Mounts, but Ephrata had a bunch of ties four ties, which added up to the same amount of points (31) as E-town finished with.
Going into Saturday, all Conestoga Valley had to do was beat Garden Spot and it had a playoff spot sewn up, but the Spartans pulled off the upset, and the Bears cemented their postseason berth with a 3-0 win over Solanco Saturday night.
They'll take on Section Four champion Lancaster Mennonite at 5:30 p.m. at Hemfield on Tuesday night.
If the Bears win, they'll advance to play on Thursday night at Hempfield, with the finals set for Saturday at Manheim Central.
Great job by the Bears.
