Paranoia
Reading the online comments people leave under our articles makes me sad about life.
Give people anonymity, a keyboard, and a place to post comments, and they turn into middle school students. And/or, they become really paranoid.
Take, for example, the 94 comments that, as of Monday at 3:30 p.m., had been left under my Feb. 25 article on local tea party activists.
The commenters start off discussing the article, sort of. Soon, they're attacking each other, with no regard for the article. Then, they start attacking one commentor for comments [she?] left under a Feb. 9 article on the Downingtown West janitor who allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old student.
Now, I wrote that 94 comments had been left under the tea party article. That doesn't mean 94 people commented: The comments were left by only 27 commenters. "Dobbydo" left a whopping 26 comments.
In six of these comments, Dobbydo claims that several of the other commenters are really one person, and that that person's motive is to spread filth about the Tea Party Movement:
"Ummm, okay but if you are going to keep changing your name, in a vain attempt to disguise your tinfoil hat and anti CIA Antenna, wouldn't it be more effective if you learned to spell your favorite word correctly?"
"Shear insanity from people from one person with several different names. Get some sleep dude."
"I love all the names and how you mirror each other Doyle, Aristotle....Also nice how you choose to be filthy in your comments about the Tea Party folks. Keep talking amongst yourself."
"No, we really are not on the same side. You are just one of several screen names used by one obviously troubled person. I have expressed no opinion, I would rather see the uncivil filth being posted stops. It is too bad the DLN allows their site to be used this way."
"LOL, see I knew you could not resist, good thing you have all those different names to rely on. No one gets it is really you...Shhhhhh, I won't tell."
Whew.

Dobbydo's other aliases are Robentcorp and RaiseHelder. He used the name Robentcorp on the topix forum and the RaiseHelder name on the MLive forum.
Dobbydo's abusive and obsessive behavior on those forums led to his identity being made public. He switched his name to Dobbydo on the topix forum after his identity was revealed. A quick google search and a little cross referencing verifies Dobby is the same person.
This guy ruins every forum he goes to. He was banned from Topix and banned from the Pizza Today forum. He tries to hijack every discussion and turn it into his own little show. He always has to have the last word and constantly attacks others. He turns every thread into an argument and sadistically thrives on aggravating everyone else. Google him and you will find a trail of forums he has disrupted.
I remember him from the Topix forum. He tried to make everything about himself and belittle others. No one misses him there.
He should be banned here too. He will only get worse. He gets off on aggravating others and bragging about himself.
Will banning this "poster" (for lack of words actually allowed to be used here) stop him? Or will he change his Sign in again?
Something has got to be done to stop this maddening display of stupidity. He takes things you say and turns them around slightly, but enough to cause a lot of false ideas and hatred.
THIS could be considered domestic terrorism- attempting to get a city to fight within itself!!
If you were honest Dan you would talk about the difference between Tea Bagger, a reference to a homosexual act, and Tea Party.
Sadly you are picking up a piece of what you was sad. The people who continue to put the intentional sexual innuendo to insult others, which the DLN has allowed is wrong.
Of course you missed that didn't you?
he's really not smart to keep using the same screen name, because he has lost all anonymity. ask him about the time he jeopardized a sick infant's donation website by getting it shut down. here's the article:
http://www.concordmonitor.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070119/REPOSITORY/701190331/1012/NEWS
we'll see how long this comment stays up, every time i post it, it always mysteriously disappears. i guess someone is ashamed of his past behavior.
To anonymous number five (who sounds a lot like Dobbydo):
Shhhhhhhhhh!
Uh Oh Dan Kristie if you make Dobbydo mad he will stalk you, post your home address, and contact microsoft to try to get your website shut down.
Is there any way the DNL can trace the computer he uses and block that?
Our discussions could be productive ways of helping to find solutions and suggest new ideas, but he turns it into an LSD laced circus.
