Early Birds observations

The Eagles' rookie draft picks certainly pass the eyeball test.

Especially Cornelius Ingram, the tight end out of Florida, who looks significantly taller than 6-4.

It must be the basketball player-long arms and legs that in jump ball situations should pose matchup issues for the basic 5-11 NFL cornerback.

"I measured out at 6-4," Ingram, the fifth-round pick said upon checking into the three-day minicamp that begins Friday morning. "People tell me all the time they think I'm 6-5 or 6-6."

Ingram, by the way, thinks the world of Lito Sheppard, whom the Eagles dealt to the Jets over the offseason. Sheppard is an active Gators alum.
