McNabb sucks. Only Andy Reid still believes McNabb is some great quarterback that in time will show his stuff. The Eagles should have kept Garcia and T.O. and ditched overpaid McNabb. And he's a racist. Rush was right.
NEW YORK -AP 9/18/07- Philadelphia Eagles star Donovan McNabb says black quarterbacks face greater scrutiny than their white counterparts.
In an interview on HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" to be broadcast Tuesday, McNabb said black quarterbacks "have to do a little bit extra" because there are relatively few of them, adding "people didn't want us to play this position."
McNabb said if he passes for 300 yards and his team wins by a touchdown, critics will say, "Oh, he could have made this throw here. We would have scored more points if he would have done this."
Or it could be because he sucks and he's not smart enough to play that position. Now that his legs are gone it's showing.
What evidence do I have that McNabb is a racist? Well, for one thing, the fact that he is ever quick on the draw with the Race Card even when there is no racial component present, is one of the surest signs. -When he was drafted and booed, he charged that it was because he is black, that a white player drafted would not have been booed. –Never mind that the folks who booed him were hoping for another player, also black. -When the Eagles took several days to sign him after he was drafted, he charged this was because he is black and that they would have signed a white quarterback quicker. -When he was called a “scrambling” quarterback he charged that this term was racist and used only because he was black, that a white QB would be called a running quarterback. –Never mind that he and Vick (also black) are the two most scrambling quarterbacks in history. -When the whole friction with T.O. thing was going on, he said that T.O.’s comments were “like black-on-black crime”. -His charity efforts target primarily black kids. -Any criticism of his poor performance he attempts to deflect by charging racism, as in the interview I posted. That’s enough. The guy is a racist. He uses his skin color as a weapon and an excuse depending upon how it serves him at the moment.
Plus, McNabb sucks. Even before he was hurt. And Rush was right on the money with what he said. The proof is in how the Apologist Lib Press gushes over this mediocre black quarterback.
And what the heck was that known black racist Charles Barkley doing in the announcer’s booth? He’s another one. Would they let David Duke up there to offer his color commentary? He was criticizing the fans for booing McNabb. You know that dirtbag was dieing to call them all a bunch of racists.
When people use their race as you've described, I like to think of them more as an "Opportunist" than a "Racist". They are using any and all means to get ahead. Kind of like some of the Democratic posturing with the war. Some people feel that nothing is sacred when you are trying to get ahead.
A true black racist would probably think of McNabb as a sell out to their race for selling soup to the white man, working for "the man" and such.
Randal - I usually at least somewhat agree with your comments, but I passionately disagree with your labeling McNabb as a racist. None of us know what McNabb has dealt with during his entire life as black man or QB, so we should be careful to criticize.
Plenty of white QB's are criticized, but black QB's seem to be disproportionately under scrutiny - first, because there have not been many, and secondly, because for a long time people thought that they were not intelligent enough to get the job done.
McNabb is free to say what he wants and a lot of people may relate to his thoughts. I respect him for expressing his thoughts and being honest ... very rare in the PC world we currently live in. Racism and hate are still very alive in this country and discussion is good.
McNabb has lived a charmed middleclass life. He likely has never been a victim of real racism. And yet he obviously sees race first in everything. Someone -likely his racist father, along with our apologist society- taught him to always play the Race Card first. And he plays it to the hilt.
If a white were to behave in this same manner there would be no question in most people’s minds that he was a racist. Certainly no one would give them the benefit of the doubt or wring their hands and try to explain it away. I know.
His behavior is as irresponsible as it is disgusting. Little kids look up to this jerk. What do you suppose they have learned listening to his hollow racial crap at every turn? He’s taught little black kids to play race whenever they need an excuse for poor performance, etc. The harm he’s done to race relations for the next generation is immeasurable. McNabb is a poor quarterback and a scumbag of a man.
They don’t feel that way without reason. Blacks are treated differently than white males in our society. It’s not like the old days of segregation and a lot of people are pretty fair, but there’s a lot of racism, both subtle and blatant, still out there, and it’s not just white people who are guilty of it. A lot of African-Americans are taught as children that they are goign to be treated differently; some — I have no idea how many, but it’s not an insignificant percentage — are taught that they can’t trust white people to treat them fairly. The problem with saying, “People pick on me because (fill in the blank),” is that once you’ve said it, what next? And are you really, really sure you don’t do the same thing?
Like I said… he’s been taught and is perpetuating that destructive attitude of victimhood. He’s suspicious or holds animosity for whites. Or, in other words, he’s a racist. And it shows.

Philadelphia: Where professional sports hopes and dreams come to die...
Yeah that means you too, Phillies fans!
Randal is like the white OJ. He loves to play the race card every chance he gets.
Only when I can back it, Ed.

Randal - I agree to disagree on whether or not McNabb is a racist.
Here's a good perspective on race versus winning. I do agree with this!

That's a good article BJ. It touches on a lot of good topics and sums up how I feel.
