A Nod To Joe

Some might have noticed that I have never been Joe Sestak's biggest supporter. (See today's print column)

But I would like to say I respect him as one of the real grown-ups on the Democratic side of the congressional aisle.

Agree or disagree with him on policy, he understands the importance of the situation in Iraq, the sacrifices that are being made by the U.S. military men and women over there and their families at home.

He knows and can testify to the courage and intelligence of our warriors on the ground.

It would be nice if he would forceably disavow the disgusting actions of MoveOn.org to smear Gen. Petraeus, and their claim to "own" Democratic Party because they "bought and paid for it."

I doubt Joe Sestak has been bought and paid for by anyone. He should say so. And he should say the same about his military colleague Gen. Petraeus.

Gil, you may want to hold off on that "bought and paid for comment." As this
website>
notes, Sestak is going to be taking part in special policy discussions with big Democratic donors next week.

I know fundraising is all part of politics, but this seems to be blurring the line between money and policy a little too much for my taste.

Radical whacko Liberal groups like MoveOn exert too much power over our country via the Democrat$ who are beholden to them. Why does this small handful of nuts get such access and power? Who elected them to anything?
We hear so much noise about lobbyists and special interest influence peddling reform (which was mostly just Dem tactic to cut off Repub funding while pretending to be about cleaner government). Well, I want to see these unelected Lib lobbying groups included in this discussion and see their reach curtailed.

And if Sestak doesn't denounce them he's just as bad as the rest of them.

That’s quite an article, Stosh. Is there no level too low the filthy LibDems won't sink to buy power? It should have been titled: “How to Buy Influence with the Slimy Democrats on the deaths of 3000 fellow Americans”
This is despicable.

Has Rep Sestak commented on General Petraeus' review? I am very interested in what the local guys have to say. Has anyone heard their thought yet? The news section of Mr Sestak's web site hasn't been updated since August.
