Sestak and The Angry Left
I have it on good authority that Rep. Joe Sestak was recently caught complaining about MoveOn.org and its assault on the moderate wing of the Democratic party.
Who can blame him?
The Angry, anti-war Left is unlikely to help Democrats regain the White House or lead the country in a direction that the country is likely to go.
It could be 1972 all over again.
UPDATE: Elizabeth Edwards carefully scolds MoveOn.Org. It's a start.
UPDATE II: Jane Hampster explains the rules of engagement to Elizabeth Edwards over at Firedoglake. They will brook NO DISSENT!

I look at common sense as being the single most important attribute that a politician can have. I think it is more important than what party you are affiliated with or any one single issue that I may or may not agree with the person on (i.e. abortion, the Global War on Terrorism, gun rights, etc). I was interested to see the local guys reaction to this who "MoveOn.org" nonsense. I was kind of hoping that Rep. Sestak would post some kind of public comment on his web site. Sen. Casey has a post but it just seems to be the generic Democratic Party line on the war.
Common sense. Common decency. Both good.
I just read that Jane Hampster article... Wow. That seems more like it should be a DNC inter-office memo stamped "CONFIDENTIAL" than something posted on the world wide web.
I think if that got some more publicity it would hurt them more than MoveOn.org. Politics seems to be moving from "spins" to mind control or lab rat experiments.
I agree. Pretty amazing.
Rep. Sestak has a comment on his web site now. It's not bad but nothing earth shattering. I wonder if he even wrote it though. In the first sentence he refers to "Major General Petraeus". I know that seems minor, but a military man would not normally make an "attention to detail" mistake like that, mistaking a 4 star General for a 2 star General.
My fault. I just re-read it and the first sentence is an announcement type sentence. It's someone else's mistake, it's not a Sestak comment.

Not if they move too far to the left, which is where MoveOn wants to take them.
It looks like its going to be Hillary.
She could win. If she does it will be because she Sister Soujahed MoveOn.
If she doesn't, any smart Republican will hang them around her neck like a millstone. They'll try to do that anyway. Rudy's already trying.
Her problem is she has lots of other negatives riding along with her.
The Repubs have an unpopular president to run away from. I think in the end, it'll come down to personalities. That will sway the 2 to 3 percent of the independent vote that matters.

This is the beginning of the end for the short reign of that Far Left whacko group. It didn’t take long for them to hang themselves.
Politics seems to be moving from "spins" to mind control
…and Left lies appealing to people’s emotions.
Been saying it all along.
Rudy’s the only one that can garner such crossover.

See how the Filthy Left is hoping for soldier deaths so they can use them to seize power. Yep, despicable.

You guys celebrate after every war dead milestone as visions of Senate seats dance in your heads.
Disgusting.

Oh, Dave, we know how you Lefties feel about the Military.
You guys gonna spit on them again this time?
David's idea of "stopping the war" is for the United States to pull out all our troops and leave in defeat.
No serious person, however, believes our retreat will "stop the killing. Not even the New York Times editorial board believes that. It recognized not too long ago that the result might very well be "genocide."
The Times apparently believes genocide is preferable to our trying to bring peace to a country we invaded to rid the world of a tyrant and attempt to establish the first democratic Muslim state in the Middle East.
The Bush Administration may well be guilty of idealistic hubris.
But that beats advocating a policy one believes might very well lead to genocide.
Even if the Democrats win the White House, the new President will not pull all US Troops out of Iraq.
Write it down now so I can say I told you so later.
They will tell you what you want to hear to get elected and then when they get in office they'll be telling you "it's just not that easy".
Just like last November when all these Democrats ran on the "bring home the troops vote" and voted the other way when they got in office.

There’s that retreat in defeat attitude of the Defeatist Left.
What say you girls just step aside and let us win this war?
There’s a poster floating around the net that would apply here:
“Shut the #%&$ up you Liberal *&$#%ies! We’ll protect America!”
