The point is that whatever bravery he had as a young man has faded over the years and been replaced by political pandering.
As for his age, he's clearly not as mentally sharp as he used to be. He's not well versed in a lot of the domestic issues and is not a quick learner.
The Republicans are the ones mostly concerned about his age. The Dems don't want a third Bush term.
Seriously though, our country would be much better off having a dull McCain than a sharp Obama. Sharp Radical Libism idiocy is the worst kind because dopes start to believe it.

My point is that McCain is not as socially conservative or "moral" as the GOP likes. Rove and those that would attack a Dem for infidelity are quiet when it comes to their own. If Obama were to have an affair, the right-wing would certainly question his character, so why not McCain.
MY objections to McCain are based on his pandering to the right wing on military and economic policies that he built his "maverick" reputation opposing.
Gay marriage IS a family value. They want to get married and form a family and a commitment. You should be supporting that. I don't think a lot of gay men will be having abortions.
Winning dishonestly and at all costs is Republican trait.
How is teaching kids about imaginary deities a family value? It's a supernatural/superstitious value that sets up unrealistic expectations.
