Keeping the Peace

An Iraqi who wants American troops to stay in Iraq to prevent a "hurricane" of violence.

Money Q:

So we still need the Americans because if they intend to leave, there will be something like a hurricane which will extract everything - people, buildings and even trees. Everything that has happened and all that safety will be past, just like a sweet dream.

As people say in my neighborhood: “The Americans are now Ansar al Sunna.” Protectors of the Sunni.

With all their calls to retreat without regard for what would happen there once we left, the LibDems never cared about the Iraqi people anyway.

I just read that only one in five Donkeys sees the Iraq war as the top election issue. Now that the war is going well suddenly they don’t care about it. No longer is it Front Page news. Gone is all the hollow shrill overblown weeping over it. They don’t need that red herring now with the economy and gas prices to make noise about and the prospect of having a “historic first black” affirmative action president to sing about.

They don't believe the war is going well. They just believe the failing economy affects them more. McCain's on the wrong track with the war, and he's even worse on the economy.

Translation: Big Dem victory in November.

They don't believe the war is going well.

What you mean is the LibDems refuse to admit that the war is going well because of how that would reflect well on Bush.

And we've yet to hear anything of policy substance from your Affirmative Action Candidate other than his vague and hollow calls for "change".
It is really quite remarkable how the unthinkers have gobbled up that lame platitude. Instead of “change” Obama could have promised them “plywood” and they’d be repeating that. “Oooo, Obama is the bringer of plywood… Plywood is good! We must support him!” Lol…

No. It's the crazed conservatives that can't admit the Iraq policy has been a total failure.

Changing the current Bush policy of hiring industry insiders to head government agencies that are supposed to regulate and oversee those industries would be a big start. Inspections of mines, food supply, environment, infrastructure, airline safety, etc. have been reduced to the point where the agencies are not doing their job to protect the public. Obama (or Clinton) would make sweeping changes and put competent scientists and engineers in charge of key agencies (like both Dem and Rep presidents of the past) rather than political hacks.

The surge was an undeniable success. Admit it or get over it. Whichever.

Yeah, no sense in actually hiring people familiar with these industries to do the job. Lol…

Obama (or Clinton) would make sweeping changes and put competent scientists and engineers in charge of key agencies

“Sweeping changes” “competent scientists” = Dishonest Dave Lib speak.
You mean like putting only Lib scientists that bark the Lying Lib line about global sky falling in charge of the environment while shutting out all who might oppose this sham. Yeah, like that would be better.

What was the point of the surge? It was to stabilize the situation for a few months for some political progress. It's been almost a year, thousands dead, failures on the key political initiatives needed, Iran's influence has grown. Total failure to obtain the primary objectives.

Lobbyists are "familiar" with the industry, but don't have the public's best interest at heart. Taking people with histories of violations/stonewalling inspections and putting them in charge of oversight is worst than the fox guarding the hen house. It's more like cooking the fox a chicken dinner and inviting him over.

The non-partisan scientists at EPA, FDA and other agencies had studies whose results were altered by non-scientist political operatives at the White House to match political ideology in contradiction to the facts.

Because you are an uneducated person that would believe in voodoo over science does not give not give you any credibility on this (or any other) issue.

The non-partisan scientists

LOL! Libs are notorious for corrupting “science” and “studies” to support their agenda to the point of being worthless.
A great example is the scientists that only bark the Lying Lib line about global warming while completely ignoring and shutting out all dissenters that bring other views and evidence to the discussion.
Interesting, isn’t it, that only scientists that benefit from government grant$ for their “studies” are the ones that also keep repeating the prescribed Lib/Gore line on the subject? While truly independent scientists who have no horse in that race keep coming up with other conclusions.
Lib lobbyists don’t have the public’s best interests at heart either.

You’re not fooling anyone, Dishonest Dave. An extreme partisan dupe like you just wants to see one corruption replaced with corruption more favorable to your Lib Idiotology. Kinda like how the blacks are against white racism while seeing nothing wrong with the black variety. I believe this is called hypocrisy or, as it is commonly known whenever you post, lying.

That you wholeheartedly believe in the outdated, childish and backward, harmful idiotology of Liberalism voodoo is proof that all your “education” means, well, nothing. It sure don't mean you're smarter. Lol…

Oil! Or to avenge Daddy Bush… Or something. The LibDems keep changing the reason. They can’t seem to get their story straight. But it’s all good to them so long as they are attacking our President during wartime and giving comfort to our enemies.

T-shirt: “Love him or hate him, Bush has killed a ton of Arabs.”
