One thing Pitts is wrong about; he says Willie Horton was created by George H. Bush, while Wright created himself.

It was Al Gore campaigning against Michael Dukakis who "created" the Willie Horton controversy. It was a Dukakis program that allowed Horton, a violent criminal, to be furloughed and gave him the opportunity to rape and murder.

It was an inconvenient truth about liberalism's soft-on-criminals approach to criminal justice.
