Demanding Action on Climate Change

Mark Mellman at The Hill says the public wants action on global warming.

Well, that's what they say in polls. But if action means, higher taxes in the way of higher prices for gasoline and heating oil, we'll just see how popular that is.

The public also wants lower gasoline prices. How these two public wants will be reconciled is a political question.

The solution currently being offered by our "leaders" in Washington is the Carbon Cap and Trade bill, the greatest government power grab in history. (See below)

Policiticians' attempts to hide the astronomical costs from the public won't last long but they don't have to. Just a decade or so, way past the next election cycle.

In the deep, dark recesses of the public mind, we understand that. Which is part of the reason why 80 percent of the public have lost confidence in our political leaders.

The rest are fools.
