125 YEARS AGO – 1903
Several intoxicated men had a rough and tumble fight on Third Street, Chester, near the bridge. One individual received very serious head injuries.John Dalton, a promising young man of Upland, has been appointed assistant clerk to Mr. Weston in the office of the Crozer Iron Works.Professor Webster opened his dancing academy in Beale Hall, Chester, with an attendance of 15 pupils. Double that number is expected at the next dance meeting.75 YEARS AGO – 1933
The Well Baby Clinic at Marcus Hook Baptist Church was a success with 23 children who were vaccinated to prevent diphtheria.Thousands of postage stamps were on display when the Chester Stamp Club had its fourth annual stamp show at the YMCA, 7th and Edgmont, Chester. Members of the John Wesley Cross Post bugle corps of Norwood won $25 in a Halloween parade at the county seat.50 YEARS AGO – 1958
