Call me a Phanatic: A look at the ups and downs of being a Philadelphia sports fan.
There’s a lot of ways this whole Brett Myers thing could turn out. Unfortunately none of them are especially appealing to the Phils. Here’s the nut: Myers wants to close, but that spot is currently being filled more than ably by Brad Lidge. Myers admits his head is not into being a starter right now, and has not been since he got his taste of closing last year.

I Don’t Get It: Can we now put away the pictures of Jocelyn Kirsch in all her glitzy get-ups and hot bikinis. Maybe the feds will release a pic of her in her new duds, as a prisoner in a federal jail.

*
Today’s Upper: Let’s hear it for three-day weekends. But let’s not lose sight of the fact that this weekend we mark our Independence, and a lot of men and women are far away in harm’s way fighting to make sure it stays that way.

Yeah, Howard – despite his massive strike-outs – is a homer force to be reckoned with. Pity he won't be in the Home Run Derby – just check out the mad long balls he's hitting with Vlad Guerrero on some driving range outside Philly. The man's a machine.

And, um, those old golfer dudes are quite hilarious.
