Let the good times roll.

That’s what they’re saying at Harrah’s these days.

First came word that the state Legislature had finally given the OK for slots parlors such as Harrah’s to expand into table games such as poker, blackjack and roulette.

Harrah’s held a job fair for the 300 openings they expect to fill to work those tables and were swamped with those looking to get in on the fun.

Now comes word that the slots are going great guns as well.

For the second straight month, Harrah’s take from the one-armed bandits was up.

Figures from the state Gaming Control Board indicate revenue at Harrah’s was up 4.13 percent in January over the same month in 2009.

Harrah’s took in more than $27 million, as compared to just slightly less than $26 million the year before. Maybe the economy is turning around after all.

Harrah’s continues to sits in second place in terms of revenue at the nine operating slots parlors in Pa.

Looking at everyone else in the rear-view mirror is Philly Park, which posted a whopping 22 percent hike in revenue in January.

Part of that is attributable to the opening of their swanky new Parx Casino. Philly Park took in $35 million and change this year, up from almost $29 million in 2009.

Statewide revenue from casinos was up 39 percent.

Trump’s shore casinos are offering a free room to anyone who turns in a premier card membership from one of the Pa. casinos.

Sounds like war to me. Don’t bet on it cooling off anytime soon, not with Pa. casinos unveiling table games this summer.
