it seems that the great keystone state is now sad. the primary is over and the glitz and glamor of the cnn cameras are gone. obama and clinton are gone. one possibly for good. one until the real election starts.
i feel like we've gotten to know both of them well enough that we've earned the right to call them by first names. hillary and barack... oh how we'll miss you.
all people did through the past six weeks of campaigning was moan and complain about sniper fire and pastor's remarks and then run, not walk, to whatever rally they could manage to find.
as a state we look like attention starved step-children of the political system. our major and minor politician picking sides so they could ham it up for our fifteen minutes of political fame.
and all we did with it as a state was hand hillary a win big enough to make the whole process last longer. not big enough to really give her a solid shot of taking the nomination. not small enough to put the nails in her coffin.
just enough delegates to prolong this whole debacle.
just long enough for mccain to start making inroads to those independent voters.
i don't blame hill, or barry, i blame the keystone state. all this talk about our voices and votes finally mattering. all the hype and hullabaloo. what do we do with it? essentially just shrug and push the final decision off on some other states.
