Collection drive pays tribute to Dr. King




Parents and students from the Council Rock community gathered Monday to cap off a month-long collection drive honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Hundreds of students from across Council Rock's high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools gave up their day off to bag and deliver thousands of personal supplies, baby items, and canned goods at Council Rock South High School during the second annual CR Cares Day.
"It shows some dedication," South Principal Al Funk said. "The fact that you get up and give up your day off is very meaningful."
