Your Thoughts

Aren't your questions too slanted on this poll?

Everyone would think the library is important. Scratch that one.

Everyone knows it's outgrown it's building. Scratch that one.

Everyone knows the library reply about losing funding. Scratch that one.

How about questions slanted like these instead?

Should the library be allowed to close off Second Avenue and drastically change forever the complexion of the neighborhood, quality of life for the neighbors, and the traffic patterns which would effect neighborhoods for several blocks in each direction?

Should the library be allowed to double the size of the building, close off Second Avenue, seize property from a near by home, build what amounts to a huge, imposing wall from the backside, and provide absolutely no parking for over 200,000 annual visitors or for the residents?

Should the library seek other options?

Fair is fair.

What a bogus and partisan poll. It's like conducting a poll of potential candidates for elected office, but leaving half of them off the list, so your candidate wins. Where were the other options, like building an addition on the library's current property; or leaving the current building intact, and opening a branch? What was the purpose of this, was it a joke, or just a pseudo-scientific attempt to give ammunication to those who insist on the "library/ park" concept? I think a newspaper would have at least attempted an impartial poll.
