Unfortunately your poll doesn’t give readers an alternate selection to a Parking Authority; that being a Parking Department, properly implemented, could start solving the parking problem immediately.
West Chester and Kennett Square have Parking Departments, not Authorities. West Chester maintains three parking garages and 699 parking meters, all without an Authority.
A Parking Department could be up and running now. Staff is already in place. Funding might be easier to obtain.
It will take some time for an Authority to incorporate and get up and running. Until the Authority gets funding for a staff, you will be looking towards volunteers to solve the parking problem. They will need to obtain funding from somewhere to carry out their mission.
An Authority is no guarantee the problem will be solved quickly and it is a fifty year commitment.
After imbibing nearly an entire bottle of pinot grigio, I have just one question: Is Mr. Buckwalter/blogwalter married? Does anyone know?
Yes, Dolores, Blogwalter is married and in 8 yrs on Council, he uses his equipment less than you use yours.
9:20pm: hahahahahahaha that was awesome. Buckwalter bores me to tears but you expressed it much better.
